Are you disputing a ban, mute or jail? Mute Why was this punishment given? Arguing Who administered this punishment? RockyRevenchy Do you feel as if you don't deserve this punishment? I understand why I was punished, however given the situation, I think it could have been handled better. If you feel as if you didn't deserve it, do you have proof showing why? I'll explain that in the next question. Why should we lift your punishment? The situation regarding my discord mute was built upon due to me "disrespecting" Glitch and Kava. I understand that, and for that, I apologize. I was muted, as Rocky was trying to discuss my poor behavior, after the situation had died down. I had told him it was resolved, and there was no need to bring it up further, however he kept pushing on it. (See discord for more context.) A helper said if I discussed it anymore, I'd be punished. I dropped it, but Rocky kept going, resulting in me responding, and unfairly/fairly being muted. Again, I understand I was in the wrong, and fully take responsibility for my poor choices, however, I also think it's unfair I was muted when I wasn't allowed to discuss the situation, but Rocky kept going at it. My discord is Omma#8774. I apologize for the situation, as I try to be an active member of the community, and would like another chance. Anything else you would like us to know?
Alright, seeing as I was the one to administered the punishment, I should be the one to answer, I saw your original question the night before the argument, when you asked, the "God devs" about our custom plugins that you say were not custom, even though, almost half of them are indeed custom, then we all dropped it until the day after when rock, decided to put in his two cents (most likely because he was asleep when it originally went down), after that you and Rock proceeded to get in an argument about "oh it doesn't matter because I asked that last night and it was already resolved" (or something along the lines of that). When I decided to tell both of you to not worry about it and "shut up", when you agreed to it, but after you had asked rock a question to which he answered you, you then proceeded to dig again, after a few minutes of Rock answering your questions (fairly calmly if I might add), I decided I had heard enough and you just felt like redigging into the argument, I finally decided to give you one last warning to which you blew off, so I then muted you (permanently, but don't worry Rock had it changed to a 30 day mute). Do I feel like I could have handled it better? Yes. Do I feel I could be at least a little bit "professional"? Yes, but as I said on Discord after the fight, I don't get paid to take crap from other people, I don't even get paid at all, this is merely a volunteer job. So, to answer your story after the explanation: " I dropped it, but Rocky kept going" I didn't quite see it as that, after you asked him a question, he answered, you got mad. "I also think it's unfair I was muted when I wasn't allowed to discuss the situation" Just because I said to stop doesn't mean you have to, nor did you, considering we are kind of here to appeal your mute. "I understand I was in the wrong" Well, I am glad you understand that part, that means there shouldn't be an argument on that part. "unfair I was muted" Personally, I will admit, I do indeed get a little hasty to administer a punishment, but I did give you a few warnings, to which you kept on disregarding, it doesn't matter if Rock keeps talking, be the bigger person and you stop talking, that's something I learned from my parents when I was young. as for appealing your mute, the others have all decided that you will stay muted.
my two cents on the matter since I believe your questions were (partially or entirely) addressed in my regards. For the details I will have to make this as clear as I did in discord, I originally did not read the entirety of the discussion in server chat with kaka, glitch and you at the time of my answer (since I was not standing there), seeing how your reaction was then still rather aggressive I then proceeded to warn you for player/staff annoyance/drama. The reaction was then beyond what I would have hoped for so I wanted to make it clear because I felt like you did not understand what I was warning you for since you carried on. After realizing this would not end, I demanded a mute to be administered (since I was on a phone) at that point I believed you did not understand and did not wish to understand my warning. As for the mute it is not infinite like mee6 may suggest (mamba applied it that way since !mute is much faster to type than !tempmute) so your mute came as a 30 days altho seeing how you seem to be quite honest on your intentions I would be willing to cut half of it down provided this discussion falls down for good and no further drama ensues. In the future I would suggest not arguing with a staff about warnings directly and instead contact privately staff if you believe the warning is unfair or should be discussed about to avoid server wide drama.
Life is like a box of chocolates. Sometimes you get crappy fruitcake instead of any chocolate at all.
