Are you disputing a ban, mute or jail?
    A ban.

    Why was this punishment given?
    Exploiting the "block hunt" minigame.

    Who administered this punishment?
    No clue.

Do you feel as if you don't deserve this punishment?
Yes, I do not deserve this punishment.

If you feel as if you didn't deserve it, do you have proof showing why?
Yes. I am a changed man.

Why should we lift your punishment?
Because I am a changed man, it is unfair to hold my past actions against me. When someone has truly changed, the need for a ban is completely unnecessary. While one may argue that the ban is to serve as a punishment, its point is really to reform the offenders so they don't repeat the same behavior. Time away allows these criminals to reflect upon their actions. However, while the admins may believe a 3 day ban is necessary to achieve this enlightenment, I am quite simply built different, and do not need as much time to reflect. I am now a changed man, and therefore you mustn't hold my past actions against me.

Anything else you would like us to know?
Please, I implore you, make it so you can tame ocelots. I was quite disappointed when I was unable to.

    Hello ProcchBocch,

Thank you for your appeal. Kicks, mutes, jails, and bans - often generally referred to as "punishments", serve 3 purposes simultaneously. First and foremost, the punishment serves to immediately stop an individual from continuing whatever they're doing that's against our rules, for an example, if someone is spamming chat, they'll be muted, this prevents them from continuing to spam chat. Secondly, it deters the individual from commiting the offense again, it gives them time to repent, or as you put it "time away allows these criminals to reflect upon their actions", so following our previous example, rather than immediately unmuting someone who was spamming, we'll leave them muted for several hours so they are less apt to repeat the offense. The third and final reason is to set an example to the other players, taking action against a rule breaker will deter others from making the same mistake. Back to the spam example, if a different player suddenly has the urge to spam, hopefully when they see that the first player was muted for that, they'll reconsider. This is important because your appeal fails to address this reason, sure you may have changed but how does that impact everyone else? We still need to show our community that abusing exploits will not be tolerated.

Now of course, none of this really matters because your defense of "you should unban me because bans don't work on me because I'm built different" is completely ridiculous anyways.

This appeal has been denied, you shall wait out the duration of the ban.

    Thanks,

    ~Glitch
