Are you disputing a ban, mute or jail? Permanent Ban from Minecraft and Discord Server Why was this punishment given? "After taking everything into account, including the past incidents, it is my firm belief that letting you come back online the discord OR Minecraft server will only result in the community being hurt further by your negative attitude and reckless actions. As such, I have no choice but to deny this appeal." Who administered this punishment? Glitch Do you feel as if you don't deserve this punishment? I did deserve this ban when it was handed out. However, I think that I have proven myself to be changed. If you feel as if you didn't deserve it, do you have proof showing why? N/A Why should we lift your punishment? I have been playing on an alt-account basically since the reset and think that I have proven myself to be changed. The permanent ban was originally handed down because many members of the staff believed that I had more of a negative than a positive impact on the server. Although Glitch clarified that I could appeal in 8 months, it was my belief that without proving myself to be changed, any further appeal would be pointless. Although I understand using an alt is a bannable offense, I see it as the only way to prove myself redeemed. On that account, I believe myself to have been a good part of the community and even had positive interactions on the discord server. Kade even gifted this account the VIP rank. Although I acknowledge the harm of my past actions, I think that I have clearly reformed. I am asking to get my permanent ban removed and replaced with a one-month ban for ban evasion using an alternate account. Anything else you would like us to know? The name of the alternate account is dark_magepute. For a while, I used a VPN to connect to the server, but my most recent connections have been from my own IP. Which can be cross-referenced with past connections from the PenguinCT account. Also, add zombie villager spawn eggs to the /donor shop.
Oh, I also forgot to add this to the anything else section, make it so beds and tnt work in the nether again.
Soooo you got banned previously and avoided that ban with an alt account and used a VPN to hide because you knew you were banned, and now you're appealing for your other account to be unbanned? Is that what we're to understand? Please correct me if I'm misunderstanding.
I understand that I am not a member of staff and was not related to any of the prior incidents. I have only come about my knowledge from the threads related to this. So if I make any mistakes please correct me. My understanding of the situation is that you joined sometime in 2020 and began playing normally. You went through the motions of getting banned multiple times and you understand what you did wrong in each of those situations. You eventually got a perm ban and you tried to appeal to it. The members of staff then decided to keep the punishment and said you would be allowed to appeal again after 8 months. Some time afterward you decide that you want to come back to the server and you want to show that you have changed. Now you may have gone through a journey of self-discovery and completely changed your ways(This is just to illustrate how much you may have changed). From there you concluded that you can only prove that you have changed by actually showing it. This makes sense, just saying words does not mean that you will change you cant prove your change with words you need actions. From there you created dark_magepute as an account to show your change and decided that you would eventually come out and show everyone your change and ask to be unbanned one last time. First off there were multiple accounts of you knowingly breaking the rules and you appealed then said that you would change and then did change then you did more things afterward. Now I have seen dark_magepute on the server and you seem like you were great on that account and you were great with the community. From there I think it is important to mention the chance that you could be using the dark_magepute account as something to say hey look at how good I have been I should be brought back because of how good I was on this account. In reality, you may have been being more aware of what you were doing so that you could come back and things would go back to the way they were before. I think that if you had waited out your time and made an appeal to show how you changed would be a better solution than break a rule and make an appeal under two months after you were told to wait for eight. I think it would have demonstrated a sense of maturity that I do not see based off of your actions. If you had been patient and waited your time out then it would have shown that you had realized what you had done why it was bad and that you accepted your punishment. However, you did not and at least to me, that means that you just want to get back onto the server and not serve out your punishment as you should do. Once again I do not have the full story only what has been said in the forums. Now you knew that creating another account was wrong it seems to be the very first thing you got in trouble for but you did it again and no matter how good your intentions were there are rules and those apply to everyone equally. I am not a staff member they make their own decisions but my own opinion would be to wait it out and appeal again. Glitch even said that he does not like giving perm bans but you broke the rules and are being punished. -Deco(Understands the bare minimum and is not a staff member)
This appeal is 6 months and 7 days too early. Please do not make anymore appeals until after the 8 month waiting period is over. When that time comes, if you still wish to appeal, I would recommend not admitting to evading your ban in it. This appeal will not be considered as the required time has not passed yet, ~Glitch
Consider it anyway because my point was very good. I have proven myself to be changed. Also, 8 months is a really long time.
You had to wait out your punishment just like everyone does when they get a ban but you avoided it, how does evading a punishment via an alt account prove you've changed, it doesn't look good.
Well no, I didn't have to wait out my punishment. I was banned permanently, there is no such thing as waiting out a permanent sentence. What would be the point of appealing in 8 months? I would have no way to show that I had changed. The only way to do that was to evade my ban. However, my goal in this was not to avoid punishment but to prove how I changed. If my goal was to avoid punishment I would never have revealed dark_magepute to be my alt. I'm not even sure if my alt has been banned yet, as I haven't tried to log into the server since submitting my appeal.
I considered writing a lengthly reply explaining how if someone escapes from prison and doesn't break anymore laws when escaped, that doesn't make them magically innocent. But it's not even worth my time to write such a reply. I initially didn't even intend to comment on this thread because I legitimately thought it was a joke (and to some extent I still do). The argument of "I bypassed my ban and while bypassing I didn't break anymore rules so you should unban me" is just silly. I will not be wasting anymore of my time responding to this thread further. ~Glitch
Yeah, it was a joke. You shouldn't ban dark_magepute because that is not my account, I was just joking lmao. For real don't punish him he is innocent.
Check your calendar...April Fool's Day was over a month ago. You must have a degree from Clown College if you think anyone here would fall for this. When you finally learn to accept the consequences of your actions maybe then you'll start making more responsible and respectable choices.
You can make jokes outside of April Fool's day. dark_magepute is not my account, so it should not be banned.
