Banned for nether killing!?

Its one thing to pvp in the nether, you offer "Gifts" to get normal players to TP to you and trap them in a corner while you and 2 of your friends whale at them with god equips when they have usually nothing but mere iron, your point is completely invalid and saying that the staff don't know the rules is false. This is simply you being mad because you either broke rules and were punished or just downright have no reasonable excuse but to blame others and switch the topic off yourself. I've seen how you act on the server and trust me, you being banned was no act of being unprofessional

Very well written post.
We are beginning to slowly go over to a no scamming server. Nether is PVP, but you can't tell people you are doing a "drop party" or "giving away diamonds" for them to TP to you and you to kill them. That is not pvp, that is called being a dick. And also scamming. So sorry for the ban, as yes it was very Miss-communicated. But we are going to become lots more strict on these types of things. A rule will be posted about scamming.

 

2notlok, I fully agree with you, I think that most of the staff on this server are irresponsible, do not follow the rules and that most of them are pretty much useless. I think that Captianbob needs to have firm words with his staff and tell them they need to step up the game and focus on the important things rather than 'important' builds. Captian could even consider removing all staff and having people apply, allowing Captian to single-handedly hand pick out the staff. I think this would bring a fresh feeling to the server to have other, more responsible people in charge rather than the same old useless people.

 

You see this is where you are wrong digitaljames. I have hand picked my staff. They are the most active, and the most responsible people on the server at most times. 90% of the staff are teenagers, like my self, sometimes we like to have fun and goof off. The nether killing thing is a confusing matter. Yes nether is PVP, Yes Killing people is allowed. But as i said in my previous post, if you trick people to tping to you, it isn't fair. They don't have a chance, there for it is a dick move.We as a staff group have been debating this topic for a while now and have come to a conclusion. If you are caught you will be punished. But a staff has to catch you, reports for this won't work. Staff have to be online and catching you right when you do it.

No actually since it was a temp ban any staff can do that, but a full ban Admins or people with op can do

 

Yeah, you shouldn't be able to say "I'm doing a drop party" or "Dropping diamonds" they tp to you, you kill them, that is definitely not allowed, but if someone tps to you out of the blue, and your in the nether, you didn't say anything about a drop party or nothing, you can accept, and kill them, because it was their choice to tp/tpa to you, so you have nothing to do with that, that's fine, but like I said, you shouldn't just say "I'm dropping stuff" to get their stuff off them by killing them!

I would have to agree that a few of the staff members don't really do their jobs. I advertised to get banned from the server while 2 staff members ( Lonely and Lion ) were online. Even after admitting to advertising I still wasn't banned for nearly 30 minutes which is ridiculous, I had no objections to being banned so why weren't they doing their jobs and banning an advertiser? Multiple people were yelling in chat for me to be banned yet they completely ignored the issue until I came to start saying "ban me." If the staff can't do their jobs when someone admits to doing something wrong why are they even here?

 

Allow me what to explain what happened in your case, Sjc.

Your buddy Epic started banning random members on our server for years. We tried, but our perms weren't working at all, and we could only kick people. Eventually we got Epic banned, but you had advertised. We had cleared chat and muted you, so there was no lasting damage. Then you started asking us to ban you. Lion and I actually spent a good 10 minutes discussing what to do, when eventually we realised the best option was to keep you there, muted. After all, we read the chats. Epic told you to do it, and it was a stupid idea to follow him, but why should we follow your said demands of us banning you?



Also after I did eventually ban you, the amount of f*cking hate we got was unbelievable. I addressed the reason why staff don't like banning people in a previous thread. Maybe if you dont give us so much hate in the future for doing our jobs, we'll be more likely to do them.

 

I think the server should just accept the fact that the staff don't do their job, and that the server as a whole is declining at a steep pace. No matter how many time you prove yourself you cannot object to over 75% of the server base agreeing on certain staff members doing their jobs. Not that it's any of my business i just wanted to have a little input on the server that sadly some of my friends still rely on for entertainment
