Staff Updates

As of recently I've noticed a loss in staff members. Deep in myself I'll miss each staff who chooses to step down and I respect their decisions and reasons. I do hope they won't be forgotten, as they were a large part of our everyday server life. I do think staff could be updated and perhaps some mods could receive admin. Lexi is the only helper which is slightly sad and discouraging because it feels as though no one else wants to partake in the adventure of staffing.

Helpers are relieving as they seem more relaxed and able to communicate easier with the newer members. I was so excited to find out Thomas had moved up to mod which was literally the coolest thing I'd gotten to experience. I do think perhaps Sam could be an admin. He follows the rules religiously and enforces them regardless of who it is. It makes me feel a lot more calm and the time on the server more enjoyable because when he is on he's always doing his job properly. I'm excited to see how Sammie preforms as staff because I didn't quite know her at all before reset. It's exciting to see fresh faces on the staff team and I'm stoked to watch the server grow.

There are many things I've noticed and many improvements to the overall feel the server gives off. We have lots of new members and some really great staff. There aren't any doubts in my mind that the staff cannot handle the server. I hope there can be more helpers and I hope Sam will become an admin. It'd be cool to watch him reach that and hopefully he can make that a goal. I hope staff can continue to grow and expand in their time and their patience with the newer and older members of the server. I realize there have been a lot of members who have quit and it's sad to see beloved staff leave the server as well.I am hoping for new changes and new adventures!

That's an excellent point! I completely do believe there have been many applications for helper positions. i do though believe there is an redoubtable responsibility our current staff must have in choosing the proper person to hold a staff position. I do believe in time we will see new and amazing staff. I am quite thankful for sammie to have rejoined the staff. I am sad to say I wasn't able to witness her abilities before reset, but throughout this past week i have been pleased to see her working and doing what she can to make the server a more friendly place. I have also seen a great number of staff working on the server more and being more available when we are having usual issues with new members and rule breakers. I'm really glad I was able to read your comment and understand things from a different perspective. The thought that many people had been applying did not occur to me. I hope very strongly we are able to have a great staff experience as the year continues.I do have to disagree with your comment on leaving these choices to staff. I did not make it a poll as to who should be our next helper. The poll within this original post was specifically for Sam becoming an admin. I do think within the forums there should be discussion on a variety of things so staff can see our perspective as players on the server. I believe it would be beneficially in letting them know we feel there is a need for helpers. Please do not assume I am attempting to place someone into staff with the public agreement. Sam has been a respected mod for a while and I do believe he has shown excellent abilities in moderating. I wanted him to feel recognized and know that I am rooting for him to get a higher position because of his work on the server. I do not believe, that it is a single persons choice to make someone a staff member. I do respect your comments and concerns, but I do practice the freedom of speech and I will have to continue to do so. I will leave choices for the staff only, but input from the public is always a decent thing to do. Please do not mistake my response, I am very grateful you brought up the point of people stepping up. I do have to disagree with you on the topic of things being solely left to our staff. They are typically busy with their everyday life and it's never easy to get an entire servers opinion on something in 20 minutes. Thank you for your comment and your time spent writing it.
