36 Year Old ADMIN says ABLIST SLUR in the OFFICIAL skyblock discord

I am first going to remind everyone that this is a report, not an appeal, and as such the final decision will either be to take further action against the reported staff member, or not to. I am going to go ahead and abstain myself from that decision so I can express my opinions freely.

You've accused Fireshadow of some pretty horrific and disgusting things here. If you're going to make accusations like this, then I sincerely hope you have evidence to back up your claims, because I do not take too kindly to members publicly slandering our admins. Yet, all I see is a nine second video clip containing 13 words with absolutely no context. Do I condone the use of those words? No. But it was said in a private setting, in a voice chat with only a few people, and it was directed towards a general group of trouble-making players, not you specifically. It's a similar environment to when you said he was "definitley a child groomer" in the hub chat just a few seconds later. Or when your accomplice xxxbw said "i bet he beats his mom", along with a number of other expletives which can be seen in the posted log. In fact, I would argue that what the two of you said about him is far worse than anything he said. If you have any other evidence of this so called "bigotry" (or racism, misogyny, or homophobia) then I would like to see it.

I will finish this off by making a note that conversations that occur over voice chat have always been held to a lower standard than those which occur over text. It is up to the staff member in the channel to gauge the audience and act accordingly. We make an effort to post all relevant logs for ban appeals and reports, it's something we started doing last year, in order to remain transparent to our community on these important decisions. The logs are not meant to help or hurt anyone's case, they're merely there in an unbiased format to show context. It reduces the "he said, she said". The logs contain the relevant messages/commands from all involved parties during the alleged incident, if we had logs of discord voicechat then we'd release those as well, but we don't, so this is what we have.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree then, I would absolutely equate falsely accusing someone of bigotry, racism, misogyny, homophobia, and "child grooming" to be on the same level or worse then anything he did, especially after you provoked him into doing so. Yes, it's a public voice channel, but at that time with only a few people in it, the same way your comments were made on a public hub server with only a few people on it. And to clarify, I said the comment was directed in a general sense toward a group of trouble-making players. Yes, you are a member of this group, I wasn't trying to imply otherwise.
