How long am I banned for?

You had a 12 hour ban then this happened

At the end of that last clip you try to talk over me which I found to be very rude and when I say "you will not talk over me" you said "sure I will, f**k you" and just seconds later I told you "now you're f**king banned, f**k you!"

You telling me "sure I will, f**k you" was the last straw after you and your "cousin" called me weird, gay, a child groomer (pedophile) and a mother beater since I apparently beat mine. Then you decided to make your little out of context videos to try to embarrass or shame me and also calling me homophobic, misogynistic, racist and ablest. For being offended by the word retard you sure like to call people names.

You have done more than enough to warrant a ban on any server.

That 12 hour was temporary but you couldn't help your self, your ban is permanent and the community will be better for it.

 

Let me say first and foremost that I'm not a huge fan of permanent bans. I fully believe in second chances, and I think that people can change. Minecraft is a game played primarily by teenagers, and teenagers sometimes make stupid choices. But hopefully, as we grow and mature, we learn from our mistakes. Simply put, I don't like permanent bans because it's not fair to judge someone forever, based on the poor decisions they made when they were 14.

Having said the above, there are rare occasions when a permanent ban is necessary, simply for the good of the community. This is after all, a family friendly server.

It would seem that this most recent incident is just one of many in a pattern of negative behaviour:

Incident 1:
Last summer you violated our rules by having multiple accounts on at the same time, after being warned many times, your alternate account was temporarily banned. You then decided to use vulgar language and disrespect the volunteer staff member online, which resulted you in being temporarily muted. You then decided to go onto the hub with a friend and abuse exploits on the blockhunt mini-game which resulted in you being temporarily banned. After appealing this ban, you apparently didn't like the initial response you were given, and even though a final decision hadn't been made yet, you decided to come on the discord using multiple accounts, and used vulgar language to insult our volunteer staff members. This resulted in your discord account being banned for 13 days. You then decided to bypass your Minecraft ban by using an alternate account, which resulted in the ban being extended to 30 days. I would also like to note that the staff member(s) involved in the above described incident still describe it as "emotionally distressing", due to your repeated attempts at bypassing your bans across various platforms.


Incident 2:
In the early fall, not long after getting unbanned from the previous incident, you decided to take "revenge" against one of the staff members who initially muted/banned you, so you griefed their island. You were, of course, temporarily banned. You appealed it, and I came to the decision that the ban was fully justified. Incident 3:
6 months after the previous incidents brings us to the current incident which occurred just last week. This incident involved almost exclusively, Fireshadow87, whom coincidentally is the only staff member to not be aware of your previous history. You decided to spam the chat of Fireshadow, and convince your friend to do the same, besides being extremely annoying, this made it so he was unable to do his job. After warning you verbally in voicechat, he banned you for 12 hours. You then decided to make a post, falsely accusing him being ablelist, racist, misogynistic, and homophobic. In your post you included an out-of-context, 9 second video of him using the "R-word". It is clear to me and everyone else that you intentionally pushed, and provoked him while recording the conversation, until he said something that you could use against him. After your 12 hour ban expired, and while the submitted report was still under consideration, you came back on the server, but rather than being humble, you decided to try and stir up drama by publicly proclaiming that Fireshadow is an "evil admin that says slurs and is mean". Shortly thereafter you were banned for another 12 hours for repeatedly AFKing next to an auto farm. Unfortunately, as seen by the numerous incidents above, you can't seem to leave things alone, and insist on always making things worse for yourself, so you decided to join the voicechat and argue. That argument is detailed quite nicely in Fireshadow's post above. This argument resulted in you being banned from the discord and game for immense disrespect. The next day, a player came online the Minecraft server and discord claiming to be your friend, and gave us a link to a Youtube video posted on the same channel as the one in the report, which the title falsely says "Fireshadow is a pedo". Although the video's content was seemingly completely unrelated to the title, the fact that it was uploaded shows that you are clearly still out to slander our administration staff. In each appeal you have made, you have admitted to the offense and only asked for your sentence to be reduced, instead of removed. This includes this appeal where you are admit that you should remain banned on discord, and just want to be unbanned in-game. It's an interesting strategy and I wonder how effective it is for you on other servers.

As a final side note, I was in the voicechat when you decided to get yourself permanently banned, and you made mention of the fact that your friend ProcchBocch commented on your report in support of you. Well, ProcchBocch came online the server 2 days ago and not only rescinded his support of you, he also flat out admitted that you should stay banned:


If you can't convince your own friends that you should be unbanned, how do you expect to convince anyone else?

After taking everything into account, including the past incidents, it is my firm belief that letting you come back online the discord OR Minecraft server will only result in the community being hurt further by your negative attitude and reckless actions. As such, I have no choice but to deny this appeal.
